Along the most popular street in the city sits the oldest cocktail bar in Barcelona, and if you’re not paying attention, you’ll walk right by it. Las Boadas occupies a tiny corner on Las Ramblas; it’s very unassuming with a small door and simple lettering on the outside.
On our day trip to Epernay, Nick and I had the opportunity to take a private tour at Moet and Chandon. We started the day with a simple goal of being able to say that we drank champagne in Champagne France, but we left with a completely new and profound appreciation for the bubbly wine.
When researching day trips from Barcelona I discovered Montserrat, and being a sucker for a good view there was no need to look any further.
Our trip has been pretty packed with WWII sites. We’ve been to Auschwitz, The Krakow Ghetto, and Schindler’s Factory. It’s been emotionally heavy and I think Nick is ready for some lighter activities.
With so many beer halls/gardens in Munich and only three days in the city, we had to narrow down our options. A German friend highly recommended the Chinesischer Turm beer garden in Munich’s English Garden, so we put it at the top of our list. This place did not disappoint.
When our AirBnB host mentioned Augustiner Brau, we put it at the top of our list of things to do while in Salzburg. We’ve never experienced a true beer hall before and this one’s the largest beer tavern in Austria, so it was a great way to get our feet wet.
We don’t have many beer gardens in the States so Nick and I have been spending our afternoons checking out different ones all around the cities we’ve been. In Krakow, things took a bit of a turn when we stumbled upon Wódka, a Polish vodka tasting bar near Old Town’s main square.
Bar Mlecznys, or Polish Milk Bars, are government subsidized cafeterias from Poland’s communist past. They were places where workers could get a hot, inexpensive meal after World War II. Often times, visits to the Milk Bars were covered in the worker’s wages.
Our days in Prague have revolved around finding the best views of the city. During our quest, multiple sources led us to Letna Beer Garden and it’s since become a daily sunset ritual.
Letna Beer Garden is just outside of Old Town, located within Letna Park.

Yesterday we spent the day walking around Djurgarden and experiencing what this unique island has to offer. A large part of the island is mainly forest with a bunch of walking trails throughout, so our plan was to cover the entire perimeter.
