Hi Nicolette,
The port is 3km (1.8 miles) away. I stayed outside of Old Town and the bus that took me to there always made a stop in front of the cruise ships, so check info on the local bus lines. I believe it was line 1. Taxis and Uber are also available in Dubrovnik. Yes, it costs money to walk the walls. I have info within this post about it but I would double check recent prices as they might've been raised. I believe it is 200kn per person in 2021. Have fun!

Hi. I just sent a comment. Was also wondering if there was a way to contact some of the people that have done your walking tour to see if they had recommendations. Thanks

Hi. Thank you so much for posting the information about seeing the places where Game of Thrones were filmed. We are so excited. We are coming in on a cruise for a day. Do you have suggestions on how to get to the port to where we can start your walking tour? What is the best way? Taxi? Do you know how far it is from the port? I read somewhere you had to pay to get into the "inner city walls" is that true and will we need to do that? Thank you so much! We are going in September and trying to plan ahead. Hoping we can do this on our own and not have to pay for the expensive tour that the cruise ship offers. Thank you!! Any suggestions you may have would be wonderful!

In reply to <a href="https://hellojetlag.com/dubrovnik-game-of-thrones-locations/#comment-24699">Di</a>.

I would recommend either Fort Lovrijenac and/or the sites within the Old Town Walls (purple and teal on my tour) to see the most in a short period of time.

The throne is on Lokrum Island so it does take up time getting there and back. There is a replica throne at the Dubrovnik City Shop souvenir store. I believe it's plastic but if you look up pictures, you can't really tell so it could possibly suffice.

Have fun!
