After what seemed like endless hours of traveling, we’ve made it home and are back in Los Angeles. At the moment, I’m in bed with food poisoning from the “meal” China Airlines fed us.

We chose Koh Chang as the last destination of our trip because it’s semi-close to Bangkok and we read that it is one of the last cheap Thai islands. Spending the past few days here has been a perfect last chapter to our adventure.
It took us 7 hours, a taxi ride, a bus ride, another taxi, a ferry and one more taxi to reach our hostel in Koh Chang.. but the journey was worth it.
I’m am currently writing from the deck of our tent, on top of a cliff, overlooking this view.
The other night, as we were out listening to the melodic tunes of our favorite Thai cover band, my bathing suit top was being stolen from the laundry line on our hostel patio.
I had a hard time deciding whether or not I wanted to return to Elephant’s World. Volunteering there a year ago was an unforgettable experience, but it was not all sunshine and rainbows. Ultimately, I decided to put aside the few personal issues I have with the place, and go.
The last few days have been a whirlwind of busses, temples and Chang. We’ve been waking up at 7am and staying out until midnight. There’s so much to do and so many massages to be had!
After our brief 15 minutes of fame, we decided to bounce out of Bangkok.
This morning we decided to try a different restaurant on Vegetarian Alley. We brought our iPads to breakfast and the plan was to drink Thai Iced tea and sketch out a rough itinerary of places we want to see.
Yesterday morning I was looking at plane tickets online and Nick and I were discussing our next trip; where we should go, when we’d both have time to leave for a few weeks etc. We kept hitting dead ends and I jokingly proposed leaving that day since our schedules are pretty mellow this month.
32 days ago I was standing in the international terminal of LAX.. crying. I was terrified. Angry for putting myself in this situation, boarding a plane heading 8,000 miles away to live in yet another jungle.. this time by myself.
